Dr. Robyn Vera is a native of the Pacific Northwest. She completed a Bachelor of the Arts and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Washington in 1999. She attended the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in Downers Grove Illinois and graduated in 2006. She worked as a research intern at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center and completed her internship year at University of Texas Health Sciences in 2008. She completed her residency in Radiation Oncology at Virginia Commonwealth University in 2012. She received awards through the American Brachytherapy Society for her published research in gynecologic and breast brachytherapy.
Since 2013, she has been certified through the American Board of Radiology. She is adept at complex external beam radiation therapy treatment planning and delivery with modern technologies such as Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy, Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy and Stereotactic Radiosurgery. She is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology and the Society for Women in Radiation Oncology.
